Kenya: Protesting Embu Council Workers Evict Tenants Over Salary Arrears

Nairobi Star (Nairobi)-Irate Embu municipal council workers yesterday commandeered the council fire engine, a garbage truck and another car which they used to eject four businessmen illegally allocated council offices. The workers were protesting the nonpayment of their three months salaries, alleged massive corruption at the council, and grabbing of council properties by councillors and chief officers.
