Delvaux Milan by Vudafieri-Saverino Partners | Shop interiors

Belgium and Italy, two traditions of savoir-faire, creative flair and innovation come together in Delvaux’s new Milan boutique. The oldest fine leather luxury goods Maison in the world has chosen the Capital of Fashion for its first Italian opening, with a jewel of a boutique, located in via Bagutta 12, in the heart of the Fashion Quarter. The project is designed by Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, Milanese Studio which since 2012 has been taking care of the Delvaux boutiques’ design worldwide (more than 40, among which the last openings in London and Hong Kong). The concept uses the language of interior decoration to tell the brand history with a narrative capacity which interprets the context, the characteristics and culture of each city. Each address corresponds to a unique boutique, in which the Delvaux universe gives life to an intimate, personal dialogue between the Maison’s creations and the stupendous museum-like quality decorative works of art. The location of the new Mila… continue

Selby Aura Family Home by Drawing Room Architecture | Detached houses

This beautiful 1920's Melbourne home had been renovated in the 70's & after years of being a family holiday home in the Dandenong Ranges, was bought by a new family with young children as their family home. It had great bones but was tired & worn out after almost 40 years of use. It needed cosmetic love to bring back its former glory. It needed better lighting, some key furniture pieces & better & stronger colours to offset the interiors in their lush green garden setting. Drawing Room Architecture started by adding a palette of warm, earthy & energising new paint colours to every room. Furniture fit for an active young family was added & custom new joinery was built to add storage & new play spaces for the children. The existing windows were large & plentiful giving an ample amount of natural daylight however considered internal & external lighting was needed to balance the scale of the rooms with the tasks of the occupants. New cork floor boards soften & add texture to the be… continue

Villa in Zealand by C.F. Møller | Detached houses

New construction of a villa which reinterprets the English country home with a modern and more Nordic expression. A lightning strike caused the original structure to burn down, therefore the owners chose not to reconstruct a thatched house due to the inflammable nature of the roof. However, features of the original house are retained by proposing a classical approach and symmetry in the new house. The new proposal is smaller than the original house and, with its division into a main house and annex wings, is less dominating and in greater harmony with the scale of neighbouring buildings. The relative positions of the building volumes also maintain the classical country home atmosphere and a cohesion with the site’s large park-like character. The buildings are located on the footprint of the original house, thus directly inserted in the existing garden. The roof is metal with vertical seams and recessed gutters. Pre-weathered materials are used to ensure surfaces that are comp… continue

Kreativer Rückzug für neue Energie by Beck Objekteinrichtungen | Manufacturer references

North-south Metro Line by Benthem Crouwel Architects | Railway stations

It's finished! Benthem Crouwel Architects has designed seven new metro stations: Noord, Noorderpark, Amsterdam Central Station, Rokin, Vijzelgracht, De Pijp, and Europaplein. Two of them are above ground and five are underground, along a route that is almost ten kilometers long. From July 22, 2018 Amsterdam residents, commuters, tourists and day trippers can travel from the north to the south of the city in just 15 minutes. Public space The North-South Line route has been designed as a new public layer in the city, underneath the streets and canals that have supported public and private transport for centuries. Just like the streets and canals lie openly in the public space, the entrances to the stations are also open and uncovered, functioning as an extension of the street. The shortest possible connection between street and platform ensures that the stations feel safe and are easy to maintain. The open entrances lead to halls that are still experienced as part of t… continue
